Kathleen Brannen-Donnelly and Mahsa Shayan Contribute to SAME JETC
Kathleen Brannen-Donnelly, PhD, PG, and Mahsa Shayan, PhD, PE, PEng, IntPE, will contribute to the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Joint Engineer Training Conference and Expo (JETC) on May 19 through 21, 2026, in Portland, Oregon.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Innovate Forward.”
Kathleen is a Project Senior Geologist based in Georgia who focuses on aqueous geochemistry, environmental statistics, and site characterization, and who supports related environmental litigation. She has experience evaluating PFAS, metals, volatile organic carbon compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls, and radionuclides in soil, groundwater, sediment, and building materials.
Mahsa is a Principal Engineer based in California with more than 15 years of academic and consulting experience focused on contaminant fate and transport, site investigation, and remediation. She specializes in assessing and treating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), nonaqueous-phase liquids (NAPLs), and other conventional and emerging contaminants.
The Society of Military Engineers brings together the military, public, private, and academic engineering communities to strengthen national security and advance engineering solutions. The conference focuses on mission-critical engineering, infrastructure, and environmental challenges through technical sessions, training, and networking.
