Client Service
Clients turn to Kathleen for evaluations of contaminant extent and source identification under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Her related experience includes evaluating metals, volatile organic carbon compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and radionuclides in soil, groundwater, sediment, and building materials.
Her extensive legal and expert-witness support includes investigating occurrences and sources of chemicals in multiple media and assessing the basis and credibility of alleged damages and other expert reports. She has helped with expert litigation in multiple states, cities, and municipalities.
To advance the state of the practice, Kathleen is a Vice Chair for the American Bar Association Superfund and Cost Recovery Committee. In addition, she presented at an expert insights panel on emerging contaminants and environmental forensics, as well as a roundtable panel on PFAS forensics.
