Geosyntec to Make Significant Technical Contributions to ICARD 2024

Geosyntec practitioners will make significant contributions at the International Conference on Acid Rock Drainage (ICARD) from September 16 through 20, 2024, at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Sarah Walker, Larissa Smith, Deanna Hersey, and Dan LaPorte will present, and Dan LaPorte, Kristin Salzsauler, and Andrew Holmes each coauthored a presentation and will be technical session chairs. Other Geosyntec practitioners who coauthored presentations include Emmy Apostol, Jeff Kurtz, Silvia Mancini, Andrew Holmes, Heather Townsend, Melody Vachon, Phil Dennis, and Jeff Roberts.

ICARD is an international conference where attendees share technical solutions for predicting and preventing metal leaching and acid rock drainage and for communicating the evolution of leading practice management strategies. For more than 30 years, ICARD has provided the platform for the mining industry, consultants, researchers, technology developers and suppliers, regulators, community members, and NGOs to communicate their perspectives on this important topic.

The conference is hosted by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum in partnership with the International Network for Acid Prevention.
