Geosyntec is Expanding and Announces a New Office Location in Farmington, Missouri

Geosyntec strengthens its commitment to Missouri and announces the addition of a third Missouri office located in Farmington.

To better serve its clients and solidify its presence in southern Missouri, Geosyntec is establishing its third office in the state. In addition to the new Farmington office, Geosyntec has an office in St. Louis and Jefferson City. The Farmington office will support a robust mining sector and electric utility client base by providing expert mining and industrial waste management services related to permitting, management of tailings and groundwater, coal combustion residuals, water resource infrastructure, geotechnical, energy transition, and water management. The office will be led by Lucas Carr, PE who is a long-time resident of the area.

Lucas Carr, PE, will lead the office. Lucas is a Senior Engineer based in Missouri with 13 years of experience focused on geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering for earthen water- and waste-containment structures including dams, levees, coal combustion residuals (CCR) impoundments, tailings storage facilities (TSFs), deep cutoff walls and barriers, and natural soil slopes on contaminated and non-contaminated sites.

Key Missouri Practitioners

Zachary Fallert, PE, is an Engineer based in Missouri with more than 6 years of experience focused on geotechnical engineering, including, material characterization, geotechnical investigation, settlement estimation, slope stability, and seepage modeling, largely focused on levees, mining, and power generation applications.

Nathan Higgerson is a Principal based in Missouri with more than 18 years of experience in both the consulting and private industries focused on fossil fuel and renewable power, mining, environment, and solid waste engineering projects. As the current project manager for multiple coal-combustion residual (CCR) related projects, Nathan’s responsibilities include oversight of landfill operations and construction projects.

Phil Harvey, P.G., is a Senior Principal Hydrogeologist based in Missouri with more than 38 years of experience focused on the evaluation and remediation of contaminated sites.
