Geosyntec is excited to announce that Red Earth Engineering Pty Ltd (REE), a consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast; and Perth, Australia, has entered into an agreement to join our family of companies. With a staff of 61, REE is an engineering and consulting firm focused on mine tailings and water dams in the Asia Pacific.

Established in 2009, REE has since become the tailings dam consultant of choice for many of the major mining companies with operations in Australia. REE brings to Geosyntec engineering expertise in water balance, hydraulic, hydrologic, and dam-break modelling, in addition to their strong record of supporting clients with civil, geotechnical, and hydraulic/hydrologic engineering services.

Peter Zeeb, Ph.D., P.G., President and CEO of Geosyntec characterized the acquisition as follows: “I am very enthused about this new addition to the Geosyntec family of companies. REE’s team includes results-driven, experienced engineers and support staff who apply innovative and practical solutions in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, geosynthetic engineering, tailings and water dams, project engineering, and construction support and quality assurance.
