Gary Hurta, PE, recently joined Geosyntec in Syracuse, New York. As part of our Central New York team, he will offer comprehensive environmental and geotechnical consulting to private and municipal clients throughout the region.

Gary is a Principal Engineer with more than 30 years of experience focused on remedial action selection and design, brownfield redevelopment, environmental permitting, and solid- and hazardous-waste facilities. Throughout his career, Gary has conducted bench- and pilot-scale testing programs; designed and operated groundwater, industrial wastewater, and landfill leachate treatment and pretreatment plants; and led Feasibility Study and RCRA Corrective Measure Study teams.

Clients recognize Gary for his in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, expertise in environmental permitting, and ability to develop and implement complex multimedia environmental remediation. In Syracuse, Gary joins a diverse group of practitioners throughout Central New York working together to deliver successful projects rooted in technical excellence.
