Bob Glazier to Present at Air and Waste Management Association Mega Symposium
Geosyntec is a Gold Sponsor at the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) MEGA Symposium, where Robert Glazier, P.G. (Maryland) will present “Geochemical Forensic Tools Support Alternative Source Demonstrations at CCR Units” at 12:00-2:00 p.m. EDT on November 17, 2020.
The presentation focuses on various geochemical forensic tools that have been successfully used, in a multiple lines of evidence approach, to support Alternative Source Demonstrations (ASDs) for coal combustion residual (CCR) constituents in groundwater downgradient from disposal units. The tools discussed will range from simple scatter plots to analysis of stable isotopes and mixing models for CCR leachate and background groundwater.
Bob Glazier is a Principal Environmental Consultant based in Maryland with more than 35 years of experience focused on site remediation, risk assessment, and environmental permitting associated with solid and hazardous waste landfills as well as power generation and manufacturing facilities.
The AWMA Mega Symposium examines the various perspectives on electric power issues as the industry transitions to a cleaner footprint with advanced, cost-effective and reliable energy solutions. Challenges and opportunities are discussed for new technologies such as renewables and batteries, traditional fossil-based power generation, and the intersection of new and existing energy sources.
Founded in 1907, the AWMA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization enhancing knowledge and expertise by providing a neutral forum for information exchange, professional development, networking opportunities, public education, and outreach to more than 5,000 environmental professionals in 65 countries. AWMA promotes global environmental responsibility and increases the effectiveness of organizations to make critical decisions that benefit society.
