Ashley Ramsey, PG, earned the 2026 Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Young Professional of the Year Award. She received the award at SWANA’s Resources Conference (RCon) Awards Celebration in St. Louis, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 30, at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Ashley is a Senior Geologist based in Tennessee who focuses on solid waste and materials management, environmental permitting and compliance, and site assessment. She is a trusted advisor to municipalities, regulatory agencies, and private-sector clients who recognize her as a leader in developing and executing integrated solid waste management plans and environmental compliance programs across states and at large-scale industrial and federal facilities. A frequent presenter at state and national conferences, Ashley shares insights on waste management innovation, environmental stewardship, and emerging trends in sustainability and circular economy practices. 

The SWANA Young Professional of the Year Award formally acknowledges the hard work and dedication of young professionals in the waste and resource management industry. It is presented to three exemplary young professional members annually.
