Client Service
As a consultant, Brandon serves clients in the municipal, energy, industrial, and legal sectors with their challenges related to stormwater management design and permitting, flood risk mitigation, stream restoration, sedimentation impacts, and erosion control and remediation. He provides programmatic support to industrial and developer clients in addressing NPDES industrial and construction general permitting compliance, primarily by helping them develop permitting strategies, stormwater pollution prevention plans, spill control and countermeasure plans, and erosion and sediment control plans. Additionally, Brandon serves as an expert witness on cases related to flooding impacts, erosion and sediment control, and water quality degradation.
Early in his career, Brandon was the lead modeler for a study investigating the impact of decentralized green infrastructure stormwater controls, work that shaped his technical expertise and career. The project was included as a case study in the modeling and analysis of decentralized green infrastructure controls in the university textbook, Hydrology and Floodplain Analysis, Sixth Edition.
Brandon is passionate about university and research collaboration and actively promotes innovation throughout Geosyntec through the firm’s internal University Collaboration Initiative and Innovation Council. In addition, he regularly contributes to research projects led by professors at The University of Texas at Austin (UT) and has served on a PhD dissertation committee.
To support the next generation of practitioners, Brandon served as an adjunct professor at UT, teaching a senior-level hydraulic engineering design course focusing on management and urban infrastructure. He also developed a program to provide industry mentors to students enrolled in the university’s engineering professionalism course. Through this program, he organized a group of volunteers to install and construct student-designed rain garden facilities at local schools.
In recognition of his service work and his leadership in the industry, Brandon has earned numerous awards, including from UT’s Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering; the National Society of Professional Engineers; the Texas Society of Professional Engineers; and Engineering News-Record Texas & Louisiana.
