Client Service
Michaela offers clients the benefit of her practical experience working as a process engineer in manufacturing facilities across the United States and as an internal water and wastewater consultant for the chemical and manufacturing industries. As a consultant, she routinely helps domestic and international manufacturing clients navigate water and wastewater permitting, strategic planning, and engineering issues. She has worked with many facilities, including data centers, on identifying viable water supplies and discharge options. She helps clients optimize water use and cooling water chemistry, and she conducts value engineering to design systems that are cost effective and environmentally sound.
Clients seek out Michaela for her regulatory experience, including with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting for industrial dischargers to surface waters and publicly owned treatment works. In this capacity, she conducts surface-water-quality evaluations, reasonable potential analyses, and compliance planning. A specialist in process water, cooling water, and wastewater treatment, Michaela also helps facilities design and troubleshoot water, wastewater, and pretreatment systems. Her industrial clients on these types of projects include those in the petrochemical, food and beverage, data center, and low-carbon fuels industries, as well as owners and operators of hydrogen, biofuels, and ammonia facilities. Michaela not only supports the design of water and wastewater treatment systems, but also provides regulatory permitting support, cost estimations, and alternatives evaluations that benefit clients through all stages of project work.
To advance the state of the practice, Michaela is active in groups such as the Water Environment Federation, where she is involved in the Industrial Water Community.
