Project Specifics
Geosyntec was engaged by National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) to support them during the design and build of the Sir Baniyas Marina and Channel Project, including breakwater protection and other components.
Geosyntec Scope of Services
Geosyntec practitioners carried out the value engineering detailed design of the 1,515-meter rubble-mound breakwater that varied in depths from +0.50 meters Admiralty Chart Datum (ACD) to approximately –11.00 m ACD.
Notable Accomplishments
Under Geosyntec’s value engineering framework agreement, our scientists and engineers achieved significant savings through value engineering, not only in terms of quantities but also in terms of methods and time.
Note: At the time of this project, Geosyntec practitioners were contracted as ATM, which was acquired by Geosyntec.
