The client, a manufacturer of consumer-based products, intends to sell the company. As part of that sale, Geosyntec was hired to do a full Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) gap analysis and to implement corrective actions prior to finalization of the sale agreement..

Geosyntec's Scope of Services

Geosyntec first visited the facility to conduct the gap assessment. Upon completion of the site visit, Geosyntec prepared a detailed written report of all findings. The client then retained us to help correct the findings; this process included the development of a full health and safety program in conformance with Oregon OSHA and federal OSHA requirements. To accomplish this, Geosyntec will deploy a Certified Safety Professional to the site to work with personnel to establish a health and safety program. Additionally, Geosyntec will help to write, implement, and train employees on procedures developed as part of the program. This work is ongoing.

Geosyntec helped identify EHS items prior to the sale. This equipped the client for a successful transaction, allowing proper disclosures to be made prior to the sale and giving the client the information needed to close on the sale.

Additionally, Geosyntec is authoring standard operating procedures that cover Oregon OSHA and Federal OSHA in one program. The safety programs will be company-specific and will reflect the understanding of the risks and hazards that are a part of the operations. Geosyntec successfully identified program gaps to be addressed in the development of the program. Geosyntec’s experienced Project Team offered the client a wide range of experience with hazardous energy control, confined spaces, occupational exposures, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, and health and safety program development and management, all of which allowed us to execute the project in a timely and cost-effective manner.
