Project Objective
Since 2007, Geosyntec has provided full marina design, engineering, and consulting services for the installation of flagship marinas within the Dubai Marina District. These marinas comprise approximately 550 berths, each ranging from 8 to 40 meters long. These facilities include the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, West Bay Marina, East Marina, Marina Mall, and Club House Marina.
Scope of Services
Geosyntec has provided marina conceptual planning and navigational assessments, marina tender design and documentation, liaison with local authorities for obtaining approvals, and supervision of the marine construction works. Geosyntec also planned and designed four “pocket marinas” sited in strategic locations in the Dubai Marina District. The pocket marinas were constructed to host vessels of 8 to 65 meters in length and are designed for use by brokerage, charter and event companies.
Notable Accomplishments
Dubai Marine Yacht Club earned five gold anchors accreditation from The Yacht Harbour Association.
Note: At the time of this project, Geosyntec practitioners were contracted as ATM, which was acquired by Geosyntec.
