Industrial Wastewater Management

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) owns and operates several bus washing facilities within the transportation tunnel in the greater Los Angeles area. Because the facilities discharge wastewater into the sanitary sewer, they maintain several industrial wastewater discharge permits (IWDPs) with utility companies including Los Angeles Sanitation District (LASAN), Los Angeles County Sanitation District (LACSD), and other local sanitation companies. The Metro facilities we support have different wastewater-flow quantity and quality, pre-treatment systems, and criteria for monitoring and reporting. To manage these variables, Geosyntec provides comprehensive industrial wastewater management services to Metro to support permitting and compliance.
