Wendy Key is a Principal Geologist based in California with more than 15 years of environmental due diligence, environment, health & safety (EHS) regulatory compliance, and contaminated site investigation experience.
In partnership with local, regional, and global clients, Wendy develops, implements, and manages environmental due diligence and EHS compliance programs. Her experience allows her to work with a wide variety of businesses and markets including those in the manufacturing, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, automotive, and commercial industries. Wendy has extensive experience in the management, planning, implementation, data analysis, and reporting phases of environmental assessments including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), subsurface soil, soil gas, and groundwater investigations, and brownfield redevelopment projects. In addition, Wendy has industry experience in the management and leadership of environmental compliance and health and safety programs, and this provides her with a practical understanding of the regulatory challenges her clients face and allows her to tailor EHS programs and audits to meet client- and facility-specific needs.
Wendy advances the state of her practice by maintaining industry relationships and presenting on relevant environmental topics at external industry conferences. She is also active in Geosyntec’s Environmental Management Action Group steering committee and mentors junior-level practitioners within Geosyntec.
