Client Service

On behalf of energy sector clients, Suzann manages multidisciplinary teams to deliver legally defensible solutions for gas and electric transmission facilities, applying both her expertise in geoscience and transmission routing and her in-depth experience in project management, regulatory compliance, and public outreach. By prioritizing her clients’ needs and fostering collaboration with her colleagues across disciplines, Suzann builds sustained partnerships with energy clients to help them meet their business goals.

In the course of project work, Suzann applies her technical skills in geoscience and fluvial geomorphology for transmission line routing and substation siting, manages strategic risk assessment, and develops innovative operating models that set industry standards for quality and consistency. In addition, she offers clients the benefit of her education and experience in specialized fields, including sediment dynamics and control, wetland delineation, and novel routing methods.

Suzann’s broad experience has included serving as senior siting lead for the complex routing of a 345 kilovolt (kV) underground transmission cable in New York City. In this role, she coordinated aspects including assessment of subsurface cable-route alternatives, engineering, offshore sediment dynamics, permitting, and comprehensive reporting. Suzann also managed the schedule and budget for route selection and state regulatory application development for transmission lines in multiple states across the eastern United States. Additionally, she led permitting for the removal of a petroleum pipeline that crossed the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, collaborating with federal, state, and local agencies while meeting an aggressive project timeline and regulatory requirements.

In service to her profession, Suzann mentors colleagues in fields including engineering, land use planning, and permitting. In addition, she has published on topics including fluvial geomorphology and sediment residence time in rivers.
