A practitioner within Geosyntec’s Solid Waste Advisory group, Sean provides strategic services related to solid waste planning, feasibility assessments, and options studies. Sean’s dual background in engineering and economics allows him to evaluate solid waste projects from both a technical and financial perspective. His experience in permitting, environmental compliance, and post-closure care helps him provide key insights to clients and make informed lifecycle solid waste management decisions. His experience includes solid waste management and recycling master plans; feasibility studies and conceptual plans for solid waste management facilities; operational reviews and advising on best practices; market studies and cash-flow analyses; options evaluation for increasing waste diversion, including waste transfer and sorting, materials recovery, recycling, and composting of organics; and environmental justice and social equity considerations for solid waste.
To contribute to the practice, Sean has coauthored more than 20 technical publications and conducted dozens of invited presentations. He continues to collaborate with academic partners to advance state-of-the-art research related to solid waste management.
