Client Service
With a practice focus on site characterization, remediation projects and litigation support, Scott’s expertise is contaminant hydrogeology and the delineation and treatment of organic and inorganic compounds within soil, sediment and aquifer systems. His client base includes law firms; commercial real estate management and development companies; industrial; petrochemical; and manufacturing companies.
Specializing in the collection, synthesis, and interpretation of historical, analytical, geologic, and hydrogeologic data; Scott’s responsibilities include the scoping, managing, and implementation of environmental assessment and remediation projects and large, complex sites. His experience includes development and management of comprehensive geologic and groundwater characterization studies and the design and implementation of feasibility studies and remedial action programs for a diverse range of contaminants.
Among the remedial actions Scott has implemented include source removal by excavation or soil vapor extraction, containment, and capping. For sites with impacted groundwater, he has implemented a number of systems that employ pump-and-treat, air sparging, enhanced in situ bioremediation, and chemical oxidation solutions. Scott also conducts regulatory negotiations with officials of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Toxic Substances and Controls, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, and numerous Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs).
To advance the state of the practice, Scott continues his participation in technical and educational organizations at local universities and groundwater associations.
