Bob Sirianni is a Principal Geologist based in Texas who focuses on three-dimensional subsurface modeling and data analysis. He is subsurface lead for Geosyntec’s carbon capture, utilization, and storage practice.

Since transitioning from a career in oil and gas to become a consultant, Bob now leads a geoscience and engineering department that uses a range of modeling tools for a variety of remediation, groundwater management, and carbon-capture projects to help clients better understand subsurface conditions.

On multiple large projects, Bob has helped his clients save millions of dollars, reduce safety exposure hours, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. He is adept at clearly communicating technical aspects of projects with stakeholders and properly considering decision criteria in the technical approach. He also provides strategic guidance and project management throughout his projects’ life cycles, including during site evaluation, investigation, planning, permitting, implementation, and monitoring.

Bob demonstrates his expertise through his work on inaugural projects for Geosyntec, including the first USEPA Underground Injection Control Class VI and California Air Resource Board Low Carbon Fuel Standards site certification well-permitting projects. He regularly presents and participates in technical conferences and professional organizations, including for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Professional Geologists.
