Client Service

A recognized leader in water resources engineering, Muhammed applies expertise in riverine hydraulics and sediment dynamics to assess system performance, quantify risk, and develop resilient solutions to complex problems. He conducts advanced engineering analyses and numerical modeling to evaluate and manage risks posed by flooding, erosion, and scour processes to critical infrastructure, including pipelines, bridges, flood-control channels, and stormwater systems. By combining his extensive knowledge and understanding of advanced numerical modeling platforms with practical engineering experience, Muhammed develops innovative, science-based solutions that support infrastructure planning, design optimization, regulatory compliance, and risk-informed decision-making.

Before joining Geosyntec, Muhammed served with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, where he led technically complex water resources projects and coordinated Section 408 permit reviews for the Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch, developing extensive expertise in hydraulic engineering analyses and federal permitting requirements.

To advance industry practice, Muhammed, in collaboration with Geosyntec colleagues, developed an innovative, cost-effective framework for system-wide pipeline scour screening, enabling clients to identify vulnerable assets and prioritize mitigation across infrastructure networks. The method, which streamlines evaluation by substantially improving assessment efficiency while reducing project costs and delivery schedules, received first-place recognition in Geosyntec’s internal Blue Sky Innovation Awards.
