His considerable technical skills, experience, and knowledge of engineering management allow him to effectively lead multidisciplinary project teams for restoration programs at single sites and portfolios of sites throughout the Western United States and the Pacific. His clients include petroleum and petrochemical companies, global semiconductor manufacturers, aerospace contractors, airports and ports, and large landowners.
Clients have recognized Michael as a trusted environmental consultant for sites facing multiple environmental issues, especially for a number of potentially responsible parties (PRPs) seeking technical direction and to solve cost allocation issues. Michael has learned to successfully navigate the landscape of PRP-directed projects and build consensus for remediation plans addressing complex problems with innovative but straightforward technical solutions. He is adept at conducting community and local planning agency relations for high-profile remediation and Brownfields redevelopment projects that have the potential to affect numerous stakeholders. As an example, he recently served as the coordinator for a committee of PRPs directing the work of several environmental and engineering consultants and specialty remediation contractors at an active oil refinery in California.
