Maygan Cline is a Principal Geologist based in California with more than 14 years of experience focused on hydrogeologic site characterizations, in situ and ex situ remediation technologies, regulatory liaison, site closure, and property redevelopment for private and public clients.

Maygan helps clients manage complex projects and portfolios by leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve client objectives. She addresses key concerns regarding regulatory compliance, and the investigation and remediation of contamination from chemicals such as hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, metals, and PFAS when they are present in media including soil, groundwater, surface water, and air.

As a consultant, Maygan has extensive experience helping clients manage large remedial investigations, pilot and feasibility studies and the implementation of mitigation and remedial actions. She has experience with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including planning and permitting proposed projects within the coastal zone of California, and has led and managed technical teams, been a steward of health and safety, and is versed in construction oversight, contractor bidding, selection, contracting, and management. Maygan currently supports the formation of Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) for multiple groundwater basins in southern California, in compliance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). She also manages groundwater monitoring and remediation programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Stakeholder engagement is a crucial component of projects for clients and the public, as well as local, state, and federal regulatory jurisdictions. Because Maygan has extensive experience investigating technical challenges, understanding regulators and regulatory requirements, and building relationships with private-sector industrial clients and public-sector municipalities, she is uniquely able to communicate complex technical concepts to reach successful outcomes.
