Laurie joined Longenecker & Associates, a Geosyntec Company, in 2015 after 27 years with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA)/AEA Technology/NuVision Engineering. He has more than 30 years of experience supporting the United States Department of Energy (US DOE) in technology development and deployment, international technology transfer, and government collaboration programs and currently leads the trilateral collaboration between US DOE, UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, and Atomic Energy Canada Ltd on collaboration efforts in areas including in situ decommissioning, stakeholder engagement, workforce development, and aging infrastructure management programs. He also has extensive experience working with the US Congress and has been a key team member on more than twenty technical review projects and the organization and facilitation of International Government workshops.
As Senior Services Director, Laurie is responsible for L&A’s recruiting, contracts, regulatory assurance, cyber/IT, and communications teams, as well as for supporting our program managers at multiple US DOE/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) sites, including Los Alamos, Sandia, Oak Ridge, and Savannah River.
