Lauren Wellborn, PE

Her experience in environmental site investigation and remediation of large, complex sediment and upland projects spans all phases of investigation and remedial design. She has primarily worked on sites impacted by recalcitrant compounds, including mercury, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), chlorinated solvents, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Lauren has been involved in remedial investigation planning and implementation, project strategy development, remedial alternative evaluation, pre-design investigation, conceptual design, detailed design-plan and specification development, and construction cost estimation. She excels at managing and directing large teams to support a variety of project objectives while maintaining exceptional quality.

As a strategic consultant and technical director, Lauren assists clients with sites under the jurisdiction of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and numerous state and local environmental programs in North Carolina, the District of Columbia, South Carolina, and Alabama.

In service to her profession, Lauren often coauthors papers on various topics, including in situ and ex situ passive sampling and sediment deposition patterns.
