John Dobias, PE, is a Principal Engineer based in Texas with more than 20 years of experience focused on offshore geotechnical engineering.
John leads project teams, conducts and supervises geotechnical interpretations, designs subsea foundations, and manages reporting. His work often addresses pipeline routing, site investigation planning, and integrated geotechnical-geologic studies.
During offshore investigations, John works with geotechnical drilling and sampling equipment and develops new equipment and testing methods in the different soil and geology types in both shallow and deep-water environments. He also manages installation of subsea foundations, including suction piles, mudmats, and driven piles.
