Client Service

Jared specializes in assessing geologic hazards and conducting geotechnical investigations, with broad project experience supporting mining sites, gas and water pipelines, natural gas storage facilities, reservoirs, landfills, electrical transmission infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, hospitals, and large-scale grading projects. At project sites in California, throughout the United States, and in Baja California, Mexico, Jared has managed, coordinated, and conducted complex field investigations. These projects often include evaluating and mitigating geohazards, assessing post-wildfire debris flows, conducting exploratory drilling, installing and monitoring instrumentation, conducting structural geologic mapping, and evaluating terrain to inform engineering design.

Clients rely on Jared to clearly convey complex geologic conditions to owners, designers, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders and to design practical solutions that meet their needs and goals. To accomplish this, Jared leads multidisciplinary project teams to create technically rigorous and defensible geologic and geotechnical solutions. He and his teams assess and interpret each site, characterize the subsurface, and employ their understandings of geologic hazards and risks to help clients evaluate mitigation options and make informed design and construction decisions. This ability to connect technical rigor with project execution distinguishes Jared’s work, particularly on projects where geologic uncertainty, terrain constraints, or natural hazard exposure require disciplined investigation planning and sound professional judgment.

In addition to his consulting work, Jared is passionate about developing early- and mid-career professionals through hands-on field leadership and mentorship, and he presents at conferences including the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists and After the Flames.
