Jeff Standish is a Senior Sustainability Consultant based in Minnesota with more than 20 years of experience in project management, data analysis, strategic planning, sustainability business development, impact analysis, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy and reporting.

Jeff is an innovative, creative, and empathetic sustainability leader and practitioner with experience across the public and private sectors. He combines effective communication, problem-solving, and management with authentic leadership to build teams and support development. Before joining Geosyntec, Jeff spent two years as Director of Environment for a fast-growing impact-analysis agency, helping organizations find better ways to illustrate and communicate their environmental and social impacts to stakeholders.

Throughout his career, Jeff has held many leadership positions in higher education and for nonprofits, during which he offered clients his expertise in sustainability, ESG, and environmental remediation. His experience includes engagement and outreach, grant management, curriculum development, professional training, and data acquisition and analysis for environmental risk assessments. He has also organized and facilitated many workshops, symposia, and webinars on sustainability and ESG strategy.

Across the Minneapolis–St. Paul region, Jeff collaborates with stakeholder groups to advance sustainability science and strategy. These stakeholders include higher education institutions, nonprofits, community action groups, corporate organizations, Minnesota state agencies, and sovereign tribal governments. Jeff serves on the steering committees of the Sustainable Growth Coalition, an industry-led coalition focused on developing the region’s circular economy, and the Sustainable Practitioners’ Roundtable, a regional community of sustainability professionals who share best practices.
