Client Service

On behalf of clients, Greg leads strategic environmental and engineering initiatives, directing high-visibility projects focused on remediation and technology innovation. His expertise spans per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), chlorinated solvents, radiological wastes, and regulatory strategy. Greg is recognized for advancing innovative cleanup technologies, shaping federal regulatory policy, guiding clients through high-stakes environmental challenges, and facilitating stakeholder collaboration. He brings deep expertise in projects involving the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and PFAS site management.

Before joining Geosyntec, Greg led the national Superfund Federal Facilities program for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). In this Senior Executive Service (SES) role, he was responsible for oversight and results at federal facility sites, including more than $10 billion of work per year in investigations and remediation. He also led the USEPA’s innovative technology evaluation program focused on investigation and remediation tools and techniques.

In previous positions, Greg served in program management, project management, engineering, and program evaluation for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Greg’s commitment to innovation and results led to his collaboration with the USEPA and others to develop the Triad approach for expedited site characterization, as well as to his work on an early large-scale pilot of in situ thermal treatment for dense nonaqueous-phase liquids. He champions thoughtful knowledge transfer by serving on professional conference steering committees and organizing technical panels to expand the impact of innovative technologies and techniques. In addition, Greg worked with federal agency partners to lead the Federal Remediation Technologies Roundtable (FRTR), including contributing to a comprehensive update to its widely used technology screening matrix.
