Emily has practical experience applying engineering to the natural environment including wetland and riverine systems, to address flooding and water quality concerns. She has worked closely with developers, industrial users, and commercial retailers to meet their stormwater needs. Her work with municipal and energy utility clients has led her to focus on dam safety, including regulatory compliance, inundation mapping, and spillway design.
Emily is involved in groups such as the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) and the Michigan Stormwater-Floodplain Association. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).
