Daniel Lee is a Senior Principal Engineer based in California with more than 19 years of experience focused on a variety of private and public development projects, including planning, engineering design, regulatory compliance, and construction management. He founded Geosyntec’s civil design and construction management practice in the Los Angeles region.

Daniel Lee is a Senior Principal Engineer based in California with more than 19 years of experience focused on a variety of private and public development projects, including planning, engineering design, regulatory compliance, and construction management. He founded Geosyntec’s civil design and construction management practice in the Los Angeles region.


Clients turn to Daniel for his expertise in land development, water infrastructure, and stormwater facilities projects. He also has experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater management, and infrastructure planning. In addition, he designs streets, drainage, and sanitary sewer facilities.

Daniel has extensive expertise related to design-build and alternative project delivery for public works projects. Notably, he served as the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the San Fernando Valley Green Streets Infrastructure Program for the City of Los Angeles. Before joining Geosyntec, Daniel was the assistant project manager and design manager for the Los Angeles Reservoir UV Disinfection Plant for Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. This project provided drinking water disinfection treatment for a 600-mgd water treatment facility.

During his career, Daniel has served as project manager, engineer of record, and construction manager on over a dozen civil infrastructure projects in Southern California. Since 2019, Daniel has been a lecturer for a hydrologic design class at the University of California, Los Angeles.
