Ben Amos is a Principal Remedial Design Engineer based in Georgia with more than 11 years of experience focused on soil and groundwater remediation and the management of groundwater risks at large, complex sites, including those in the utility sector.

His technical experience involves contaminant fate and transport in porous and fractured media, site investigation and characterization, and the selection, design, implementation and interpretation of innovative in situ remediation technologies for treatment of a broad suite of contaminants, including chlorinated solvents, explosives, energetics, and inorganic constituents such as coal combustion residuals (CCR).

As a consultant, Ben's groundwater remediation experience includes enhanced in situ bioremediation (EISB), in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), monitored natural attenuation (MNA), and groundwater extraction and treatment. He has directed, managed, or provided specialist technical support for multiple projects ranging from overall strategy development, remedial program management, and site investigation to laboratory treatability studies, remedial design, and implementation/optimization.

Ben has authored or co-authored multiple research papers on environmental remediation technologies, including source control, coupled physicochemical-biological remediation, uranium bioremediation, and phytoremediation. He has also been awarded or otherwise recognized for his technical and academic excellence by entities as diverse as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP), and the National Ground Water Association (NGWA).
