Amy Brooks is a Senior Geologist based in North Carolina with 10 years of experience in data management and visualization, conceptual site model development, and site investigation and remediation.

Clients turn to Amy to better understand and evaluate their data and to use this knowledge to develop robust conceptual site models and remedial approaches. She manages projects under a variety of regulatory programs including the Registered Environmental Consultant (REC) program, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), brownfield programs, and solid waste management programs. On behalf of clients, she often delineates site contamination, manages analytical and hydrogeological data, analyzes site geochemistry and groundwater flow, designs remedial approaches, and creates two-dimensional and three-dimensional data visualizations.

As a project manager, Amy practices site stewardship, supporting clients from initial assessment and delineation of impacts through remediation and closure. Amy uses statistics, visualizations, and risk calculations to understand complex sites and develop conceptual site models and feasible remedial approaches. Her remediation experience includes targeted excavation and waste management, high-volume extraction, bioremediation, thermal remediation, and phytoremediation. Amy also routinely helps clients reduce monitoring programs and, in several cases, has used statistical and risk-based arguments to cease further monitoring or achieve risk-based regulatory closure.

Amy is a data management leader from field collection through final work products. In this role, she empowers her teams to use the latest field applications, developing EQuIS databases and deliverables and using specialized programs to interpret hydrogeological and geochemical data sets. As a technical specialist, Amy is consulted on physical hydrogeology, geochemistry, and data analysis. She has used three-dimensional visualizations to delineate target treatment zones, identify areas of varying geochemistry, and help clients and regulators understand data distributions.
