Andrea Siefers is a Project Engineer based in North Carolina with more than 10 years of consulting and regulatory experience focused in air quality, including permitting, compliance, and greenhouse gas (GHG) management.
Andrea provides air quality consulting to clients across a wide variety of industries including chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, underground coal mining, and municipal solid waste landfills. She assists clients with air permitting and compliance issues and is part of Geosyntec's Energy Transition Practice where she applies her background in air quality to help clients address goals related carbon reduction. She has experience managing project teams, developing GHG inventories, preparing air permit applications and supporting engineering documentation, providing environmental compliance assistance and auditing services, and assisting with corporate sustainability initiatives. Prior to consulting, Andrea was an environmental engineer at the Environmental Protection Agency where she developed and reviewed federal air regulations for various source categories of chemical manufacturers.
Actively involved with practice organizations, Andrea is a member of the Carolina Air Pollution Control Association (CAPCA), the North Carolina Manufacturer's Alliance (NCMA), and the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA), where she serves on the board of the Research Triangle Park Chapter. She has presented at various conferences and meetings including A&WMA annual and specialty conferences, the NCMA Environmental, Energy, Health & Safety School, and the Georgia Association of Manufacturers Environmental Quality Committee Meeting.
