Adrienne Miller is a Principal Water Resources Engineer based in California with more than 20 years of experience focusing on construction stormwater, industrial stormwater, and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit compliance.

Adrienne is a strong leader in multiple technical areas who collaborates with clients and projects throughout California. Her area of expertise is navigating complex regulatory environments, regulatory agencies, and our water resources, remediation, and construction management groups.

Recently, Adrienne has been deeply involved in California’s rapidly changing stormwater policies. She is a Trainer of Record under both the California-wide Construction Stormwater General Permit (CGP) and Industrial Stormwater General Permit. She was also helped revise the California Storm Water Quality Association (CASQA) Stormwater BMP Handbook: Construction to address changes caused by the implementation of 2022 CGP. Adrienne helped revise the templates for CASQA's Traditional Construction Project and Linear Project Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), which are used throughout the state as guidance for managing water runoff from construction projects. She is an experienced trainer and is skilled at communicating environmental permit requirements to a variety of audiences. These include attorneys, public agencies, engineers, and site personnel. In addition, as a Qualified Trainer of Record, Adrienne develops and delivers multiday training courses required for the Qualified SWPPP Developer and Qualified SWPPP Practitioner certification under the CGP.

Adrienne leads the California Water Resource Branch's Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Task Force, which includes five offices throughout California. Adrienne believes that diversity and representation are key to recruiting and retaining the best employees and that is imperative to work to create professional spaces with role models and mentors that represent everyone in our society.
