Michael D'Alessandro to Address ACEC Georgia January 8

Michael D'Alessandro, P.E., PMP, BCEE, Director of Corporate Development at Geosyntec Consultants, will provide an engineering industry outlook for 2014 during the January meeting of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC Georgia).

Mr. D'Alessandro's keynote presentation begins at noon January 8 at The 1818 Club, 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, Georgia. Pre-registration is required to attend.

Among the key points of his presentation will be the latest data from industry sources indicating that some architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) markets are recovering more quickly than others in the United States.

Mr. D'Alessandro also will address current trends across the A/E/C industry, including issues related to staffing, emerging business sectors, and the status of regional business opportunities.

"While still below pre-recession levels, all the key indicators in the latest Quarterly Market Forecast report from PSMJ Resources, Inc., are showing positive trends," Mr. D'Alessandro said. "This is a clear signal of continued optimism by A/E/C firm leaders as we begin 2014."

Mr. D'Alessandro began his career as a construction engineering consultant and has more than 25 years experience as an engineering practitioner, operations manager, and management consultant in the industry. At Geosyntec, he leads the firm's efforts to enhance project delivery through ongoing training and mentoring programs. He also is responsible for project and operations management, including the firm's risk and quality management systems. __
