Geosyntec Consultants Announces Vero Beach Office Opening
VERO BEACH, Fla. — Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., recently celebrated the opening of its Vero Beach office, which is being managed by Tanhum Goldshmid, Ph.D. The office opened its doors in early 2009 in support of the Geosyntec's contract with the Indian River County Solid Waste Disposal District (SWDD).
The SWDD's Indian River County Landfill facility includes a Class I municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill and a construction and demolition debris (C&D) disposal facility that serve the entire county's disposal needs. Geosyntec has provided groundwater monitoring, hydrogeologic, contamination assessment, and remediation services at several closed Indian River County landfill facilities since 1999. This work has grown to include county properties other than the facilities managed by the SWDD.
In 2004, the county awarded Geosyntec a Continuing Services Agreement to also provide professional services for county-wide solid waste management, including facility expansion and design as well as permitting and compliance monitoring support services.
