Samantha Fuchs Honored at ITRC Annual Meeting

Samantha Fuchs, PhD (California), was honored at the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) Annual Meeting as the “2023 Reuse of Solid Mining Waste Team Member of the Year” and the “2023 Industry Affiliates Program Member of the Year.” The meeting took place from April 8 through 11, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach in Long Beach, California.

Samantha is an environmental remediation and geological carbon sequestration professional who specializes in groundwater geochemistry and regulatory compliance, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Class VI well permitting. A researcher in water and environmental resource engineering, she brings experience in subsurface flow and reactivity, environmental waste assessment and management, groundwater permitting, feasibility studies, and quantitative analysis and modeling.

The ITRC Annual Meeting brings together environmental leaders and professionals from state and federal agencies, Tribes, industry, and nongovernmental organizations develop revolutionary, consensus-based environmental guidance.

The ITRC is a state-led environmental coalition representing all 50 states and working to create innovative solutions and best management practices. The ITRC produces documents and training that broaden and deepen technical knowledge and expedite quality regulatory decision-making while protecting human health and the environment.
