Geosyntec Expands with Second Ohio Office

Geosyntec is excited to announce the opening of its newest office location at 10101 Alliance Road, Suite 105, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Geosyntec's latest office opening in Cincinnati is a milestone, showcasing the company's continued success and commitment to excellence in geotechnical and environmental consulting, environmental, social and governance services, and global product stewardship in the US Midwest. With an expanded presence in Cincinnati, Geosyntec can now extend its expertise and services to a broader clientele in the region, fostering stronger partnerships and driving positive environmental impact.

Daniel Woeste, PE, will lead the new office. Daniel is a distinguished Senior Geotechnical Engineer who offers an extensive background and an impressive track record of over 10 years in the industry.

The Cincinnati office offers comprehensive geoenvironmental services to a wide range of clients, including federal, state, municipal, and private-sector organizations. Our services support many industry sectors, including oil and gas, power utility, waste management, and manufacturing, and we extend our reach to clients throughout the United States, Canada, and worldwide, equipping us to address the needs of clients with national and international portfolios.

Our Cincinnati practitioners excel at delivering outstanding solutions to meet a diverse range of client needs. These include providing geohazard identification, monitoring, and mitigation services. They also offer constructability- and risk-centered services in design optimization and value engineering, foundation design, and in support of excavation and heavy bulkhead structures.

Geosyntec’s global product stewardship practice will be based in this office and drive the growth of this practice across the firm. This practice serves almost every industry sector, including mining, energy, pesticides, and medical devices. In addition, these practitioners support multinational clients, law firms, and private equity companies by delivering highly specialized due diligence services for global raw materials, products, and supply-chain compliance.

Our environmental practitioners will guide industrial and utility clients through complex regulations, remediation, and site closure. They will support redevelopment of brownfield sites and investigation and mitigation of vapor intrusion, PFAS, and emerging contaminants. In addition, they will address issues including environmental management, restoration and management of water and natural resources, waste management, water management, environmental permitting, compliance, and litigation support. We take immense pride in offering innovative and cost-effective solutions for all our services.

About the Practitioners:

Daniel is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with over 10 years of experience leading multidisciplinary geotechnical, geostructural, and geoenvironmental engineering projects. He supports clients in the public and private sectors, including pipeline operators, specialty geotechnical contractors, heavy-civil contractors, power utilities, and state and federal agencies. His expertise includes earth retaining systems, ground improvement, landslide stabilization, slurry cutoff walls, in situ stabilization, and geohazard management for the oil and gas industry. Additionally, he manages the preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, calculation packages, and construction-level drawings and specifications.

Tony Klimek, PE, is a Senior Consultant with more than 35 years of experience with civil and environmental projects. He has a strong combination of planning, engineering, design, and construction management expertise and has managed and supported a variety of environmental remediation, landfill, wastewater, site development, and infrastructure projects. Tony is a professional engineer who leads and supports multidisciplinary teams and moving projects from initial planning and permitting, through engineering, design, construction, startup, and operations. He is also a leader in professional organizations and has served as the President of Cincinnati Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the ASCE Ohio Council of Sections and served on the Board of Directors of the Society of American Military Engineers Posts in Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Salvatore Giolando, PhD, is a Senior Principal with more than 35 years of experience directing domestic and international product stewardship programs across a wide range of global supply chains along with chemical and biocidal products. He joined Geosyntec in 2022 to lead our Global Product Stewardship practice. He has directed simultaneous multinational product registrations of dozens of new chemicals and families of chemicals during work assignments in the United States and Europe. Before joining Geosyntec, Sal spent the past 20 years leading and developing global product stewardship practices. He started his career in industry as a Manager and Senior Scientist at The Procter & Gamble Company in the Global Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs organization from 1991 to 2001 where he worked multiple tenures in Europe.

Dianne Green is a Principal with more than 30 years of experience in the product stewardship field with a focus on chemical and product risk assessment, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and hazard communication. She has extensive experience with EU REACH, CLP, and the UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. She spent the past 20 years leading and developing global product stewardship practices. She started her career in industry at The Procter & Gamble Company in the Global Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs organization from 1990 to 2001.
