What happens when the facility discovers the presence of ubiquitous, legacy PFAS release? This session will discuss the regulatory, technical, and legal challenges for addressing PFAS at sites. This presentation will summarize current research and understanding of PFAS anthropogenic background concentrations to support informed interpretations of environmental data when evaluating source contributions and will discuss and the role of the attorney in this process.
