Rebecca Daprato, Rachel Klinger, and Doug Larson Teach at Princeton Groundwater Remediation

Rebecca Daprato, PhD, PE, (Colorado), Rachel Klinger, PE, (Florida), and Doug Larson, PhD, PE (Ohio) taught sessions at the Princeton Groundwater Remediation Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 19 to 21, 2023. Megan Houlihan (California) and Ali Cochrane (Washington) attended the course.

Rebecca’s Sessions:
Remediation of Contaminated Sites: Past, Present, and Future
Ex Situ Treatment Technologies: An Overview
In Situ Bioremediation: An Overview

Rachel's Session:
Remedial Technology: Overview and Selection

Doug’s Sessions:
Natural Attenuation, Biological Reductive Dechlorination
Remediation Design: Practical Considerations Equipment and Calculations: Soil Vapor and Multiphase Extraction Systems
Remediation Design: Practical Considerations Equipment and Calculations: Air Sparging
In Situ Chemical Oxidation/Reduction and Source Zone Remediation Case Studies

Rebecca is a Senior Principal Environmental Engineer with more than 14 years of experience focused on groundwater and soil assessments, remedial system technology evaluations, cost estimation and design, remedial system optimization, remedial system construction and operation, and vapor intrusion. She also designs, installs, optimizes, and manages operation of leachate treatment systems.

Rachel is a Senior Principal Engineer with more than 12 years of experience focused on groundwater, soil, and sediment assessments; remedial system technology evaluations; cost estimating and design; remedial system construction, operation, and optimization; and site closure strategies.

Doug is a Senior Principal Engineer with more than 35 years of experience focused on the investigation and cleanup of hazardous waste sites throughout the United States. Many of his projects address emerging or recalcitrant compounds such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), radionuclides, and chlorinated solvents.

About the Princeton Groundwater Remediation Course:

Princeton Groundwater's Remediation Course is a professional development course on remediation. During 40 hours of classroom instruction, many aspects of remediation are covered, including high resolution, three-dimensional hydrogeochemical characterization, federal and state regulations, and practical design details of technologies. Indoor air vapor intrusion, petroleum vapor intrusion, and mitigation are also addressed.

Princeton Groundwater offers groundwater pollution, hydrology, and remediation continuing education courses several times a year in the United States and Brazil. The courses, taught by top lecturers and practitioners, are the largest and most widely attended training courses in the industry.
