Jay Thompson to Present on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in CERCLA Allocations at the 2023 ALI CLE Environmental Litigation Event
Jay Thompson, PhD, PE (Minnesota), will present "Advances in Technology: Forensic Science of Emerging Contaminants and Use of Artificial Intelligence in Allocation” at the 2023 ALI CLE Environmental Litigation Event at the King & Spalding LLP in Washington, DC, on June 8 and 9, 2023.
Taryn McKnight and Tony Roisman will co-present with Jay on the breakdown of PFAS and the use of artificial intelligence and discovery of “source code” used to provide opinions.
Jay will also present a mock argument on the admissibility of AI findings as the equivalent to an expert finding, “Motion in Limine Before the District Court Judge” with Judge Childs, Grant Esposito, and Tony Roisman.
“Mini Trial: Allocation and Apportionment of PFAS Contamination” will use a hypothetical case, plaintiff, and defense counsel to conduct a mock direct- and cross-examination of an expert before a judge. For this segment, Jay will be joined by Judge Caproni, Ashley Campbell, Nathan Epler, and Peter Hsiao.
