Jay Thompson Named 2022-2023 Co-Chair of the Science and Technology Committee for the ABA SEER
Jay Thompson, Ph.D., P.E. (Minnesota) has been named 2022-2023 Co-Chair of the Science and Technology Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy and Resources (SEER).
Jay is an Environmental Engineer at the Minneapolis office of Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. with technical expertise in environmental forensics, environmental liability apportionment, sediment characterization, sediment passive sampling, and contaminant fate and transport. He specializes at applying this expertise at complex, multi-PRP contaminated sediment megasites. He excels at delivering cost-effective, data-driven, actionable, and scientifically defensible solutions to these non-routine environmental problems.
The mission of the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources is to be the premier forum for lawyers working in areas related to the environment, natural resources, and energy. The Section is committed to providing members with opportunities to enhance professional skills, stay on top of developments and to participate in dialogue in these substantive areas. It represents more than 7,500 members with a wide range of professional interests. This chance to meet and network with peers is invaluable. The Section keeps its members abreast of development trends, current court decisions, legislative initiatives, and statutes concerning environmental, natural resources, and energy law.
