Geosyntec to Co-Sponsor Inaugural BVCA ESG Conference
Tim Strowbridge, MSOE IPlantE and James Rayner (United Kingdom) will sponsor, moderate, and attend the inaugural ESG Conference of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) at The View at The Royal College of Surgeons in London, England on Wednesday 29th June 2022.
Tim Strowbridge is a Principal Process and Environmental Consultant based in the United Kingdom with more than 30 years of experience as a process and project engineer. He focuses on environmental due diligence, environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, process engineering, project management, and hazards analysis for global industrial, commercial, and infrastructure clients. Tim practices holistic technical due diligence, marrying technical, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues with conventional due diligence considerations whilst leveraging his engineering experience in manufacturing and assembly.
James Rayner is an experienced environmental consultant who has supported manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical, oil and gas, legal and financial sectors for over 19 years. James assists Geosyntec's clients with mergers, divestitures and acquisitions activities, as well as the sustainable management of their most complex environmental liabilities. He specializes in critical thinking and assessing the feasibility and performance of nature-based remediation technologies, for which he has published industry technical guidance.
ESG and responsible investment have never been more relevant for the private equity and venture capital industry than they are now. Sustainability issues—especially social, climate and other environmental considerations—have become deeply embedded in global political discourse. This shift has spurred policymakers and regulators to design and implement a range of sustainability-related rules that affect businesses across the United Kingdom's financial services industry, private equity and venture capital firms. The half-day ESG Conference, dedicated to the topic of ESG and sustainable investment, will discuss these rules and address the future of sustainably responsible investment.
The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) has been the voice of private capital in the UK for almost four decades. They support their members to help companies grow and achieve their long-term ambitions, creating economic and social value for the country.
The conference will take place at The View in The Royal College of Surgeons, a new venue designed with sustainability at its heart. Its built features include a 111 solar panel installation, use of FSC-accredited timber, and energy saving controls to reduce carbon emissions. It recycles 98.5 percent of its waste and sustainably sources the food it serves.
