Joshua Franck, Tory Luttermoser, Deran Pursoo, and Tengfei Cehn Presented at the 2022 Environmental Professionals of Arizona Conference

Joshua Franck (California); Tory Luttermoser, Deran Pursoo, P.E., and Tengfei Cehn (Arizona) presented at the 2022 Environmental Professionals of Arizona (EPAZ) Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tempe, Arizona on March 24 and 25, 2022.

Joshua Franck, a Senior Staff Scientist, is an experienced modeling geologist who works in multiple software packages to perform time series trend analyses, source characterization, plume stability monitoring, and conceptual site modeling.

Tory Luttermoser is a Senior Staff Professional who provides geological services in the southwest United States, including subsurface investigations, drilling, soil excavation, permitting, and groundwater sampling for various analyses, including per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). She also is the operations maintenance and monitoring field manager for an in situ injection system using ozone air sparging technology for remediation of chlorinated volatile organic compounds.

Deran Pursoo is a Senior Engineer with 14 years of experience focused on engineering design, procurement, construction management, and O&M management services. He often works at Superfund sites, power plants, landfills, rail yards, and aerospace and defense facilities. Additional focus areas include engineering design, optimization, and construction of ozone sparging, industrial water, and landfill leachate treatment systems.

Tengfei Cehn is an Engineer working in soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance and permitting, water and wastewater treatment, drinking water reuse, and groundwater remediation. He specializes in chlorinated solvent removal from soil and groundwater using a variety of technologies, including soil vapor extraction, in situ ozone sparging, activated carbon adsorption, UV/AOP, and reverse osmosis.

The EPAZ Conference offers technical and regulatory updates regarding air, soil, water, and waste and is a chance for Arizona environmental professionals to share industry-specific information and network. Geosyntec hosted the annual networking reception.

EPAZ promotes leadership in environmental management through collaboration, education, and community outreach in order to cultivate a diverse, connected and engaged membership of environmental professionals. Membership is comprised of state, industry, and business leaders including regulators, academics, environmental consultants, and engineers.
