Julie Konzuk to Present on Lessons Learnt from Implementation of Bioremediation Through the Years at the Bioremediation Symposium

Julie Konzuk, Ph.D., P.Eng. (Ontario) will present "Lessons Learnt from Implementation of Bioremediation Through the Years: An International Perspective" online in the Bioremediation Symposium at 1:30 p.m. AEDT on March 31, 2022.

Julie Konzuk is a Senior Principal Engineer based in Ontario with more than 20 years of experience focused on working with clients in Canada, Australia, and the U.S. on developing and implementing cost-effective remedial strategies from the initial site assessment stage, through pre-design testing, pilot-testing, full-scale implementation, and site closure.

The Australasian Land and Groundwater Association's (ALGA) Bioremediation Symposium will explore some of the myths and benefits of bioremediation applications. During two days of presentations and workshops, they will address common misconceptions and identify opportunities to apply bioremediation techniques to contaminated sites. It is an opportunity to be part of the conversation and dive deeper into exploring the advantages bioremediation can offer.

ALGA's vision is for Australasia to lead the world in the sustainable management of contaminated land and groundwater. Its mission is to promote the protection, restoration, and management of land and groundwater for the benefit of human health and the broader environment across Australasia.

An international perspective on bioremediation as a remedial technology, touching on technology developments through the years, unique challenges faced in each market, technology limitations and advantages, and lessons learnt from 20+ years of experience.
