Geosyntec Co-Authors Technical Guidance for Swedish EPA
COLUMBIA, Md. — The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvardsverket) recently published a guidance document, co-authored by Geosyntec, regarding bioavailability and its use in human health risk assessment. Geosyntec co-authored the document with SWECO, a civil/environmental consulting firm based in Malmo, Sweden and Dr. Edward Bouwer of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Although the document is primarily written in Swedish, it includes a brief summary in English. The document can be downloaded by clicking here.
"Geosyntec is recognized internationally for its expertise in evaluating fate and transport of organic pollutants in the environment, including aspects pertaining to bioavailability analyses for risk assessment," said Neal Durant, PhD, Geosyntec Principal based in Columbia. In addition to Neal, publication contributors from the firm were Emily Majcher, PE (Columbia) and Evan Cox (Guelph).
