Geosyntec to Host Exhibition Booth at the Beam Institute Bourbon Industry Conference

Geosyntec will attend and host an exhibition booth at the Third Annual Beam Institute Industry Conference March 14 through 16 on the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington, Kentucky.

Geosyntec's Mike Hayes, Teresa Fischer, and Chris Dickinson will attend the conference and host the booth.

Mike Hayes, P.E., is a Principal Civil Engineer who brings more than 25 years of experience focused on water and wastewater treatment, pumping systems, remediation and redevelopment, solid waste facilities, petroleum distribution, and storage tank design. To advance the state of the practice, Mike gives frequent presentations on the topics of zero liquid discharge systems and the latest technologies for treating wastewater in a variety of industries.

Teresa Fischer, BCES, has more than 32 years of experience in environmental consulting, including site investigation and remediation, Clean Water Act environmental compliance, due diligence, and environmental management. She has focused on environmental management and evaluating the risk in using waste disposal vendors. Her clients often include members of the food and beverage industry, as well as clients in transportation, oil and gas, manufacturing, real estate development, legal, and government sectors.

Chris Dickinson, P.E., has more than 35 years of experience focused on civil engineering, with an emphasis in water resources and environmental projects, client management and development, and program management for civil and environmental contracts. His specialties include stormwater quality and quantity, hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations, environmental compliance, permitting, and spill prevention control and countermeasures. Throughout his career, Chris has created an extensive network of clients in the Louisville, Kentucky area, including the distillery industry.

The 3rd annual James B. Beam Institute Industry Conference focuses on the bourbon industry and welcomes scientists, farmers, representatives, and staff from local and regional distilleries, secondary industries, and tourism a three-day event featuring presentations, vendors, and exhibits. It is a collaboration between the Beam Institute at the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky Distillers' Association.

Formed in 2019, Beam Institute is a partnership between the University of Kentucky and Jim Beam®. Its goals are to develop Kentucky's workforce, promote Kentucky as the production and innovation capital of the bourbon industry, and build effective alcohol awareness initiatives, to promote the welfare, prosperity, and long-term sustainability of Kentucky's spirits industry.
