PPP Americas provides a forum on Public-Private Partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean. Presented every two years by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), it gathers the leading public and private agents in infrastructure development in the region. In 2021, the event will take place on December 9 and 10, both as a virtual event and at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes in Sao Paulo , Brazil. Events in Sao Paulo will be livestreamed as well.
The IDB is a leading source of long-term financing for economic, social, and institutional projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Besides loans, grants, and guarantees, the IDB conducts cutting-edge research to offer innovative and sustainable solutions to our region's most pressing challenges. Founded in 1959 to help accelerate progress in its developing member countries, the IDB continues to work to improve lives every day.
Positive impacts of sustainability are no longer an additional benefit for infrastructure projects; sustainability is now required. PPPs have adapted to this new reality by adopting high social and environmental care standards, attracting capital with high demands. This panel will discuss how this revolution is unfolding.
