Suzana Kraus Discusses Bioremediation on NICOLE Latin America Podcast

Suzana Kraus (Ontario) was interviewed in an episode of the NICOLE Latin America Podcast entitled "Environmental Bioremediation – Benefits and Limitations" on September 15, 2021.

Suzana Kraus is a Senior Staff Scientist based in Ontario with experience in the environmental and remediation fields. Her practice focuses on promoting project alignment between international, interdisciplinary teams across Canada, the U.S., Brazil, and Argentina. She is also regularly involved in the financial management of complex site projects, budget estimates and project controls, data validation, and technical scope development.

NICOLE Latin America is a network of environmental professionals representing industries, service providers, universities, entities, governments, and others, with the aim of sharing and disseminating knowledge about the management of containment areas as well as stimulating and coordinating research on the subject.

Abstract

In episode #31 of the NICOLE Latin America Podcast, guest Suzana Kraus reports on how sustainability can be a significant factor in the implementation of a bioremediation project and cites its benefits for managing contaminated areas. In addition, the episode describes the challenges and opportunities for the implementation of sustainable projects using bioremediation as the main remediation technique and considering environmental, social, and economic aspects as benefits for the projects.
