Melissa Setz Featured in USSD's Women In Industry
Melissa Setz (Georgia) is featured in the "Women in Industry" section of the United States Society on Dams (USSD) summer 2021 edition of its Dams & Levees bulletin.
USSD's Women in Industry spotlights exceptional women professionals who have achieved success through their invaluable leadership, innovation and commitment to the dam and levee industry. It recognizes the women who are driving change within the industry, breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for the next generation of dam and levee professionals.
Melissa is a project engineer with more than seven years of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering. She has made significant contributions to dam safety projects involving the development and permitting of field investigations; the formulation of laboratory testing programs; the oversite and management of soil, concrete, and rock drilling/coring activities; and instrumentation installation and monitoring.
USSD is dedicated to advancing the role of dam and levee systems and building the community of practice. As the United States member of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD), USSD provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences and is charged with leading the profession of dam and levee engineering.
